- Introduction
This Cookie Policy refers exclusively to the Summer School website of Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (summerschool.unicampus.it, hereinafter the “Website”) and is to be considered an integral part of its Privacy Policy.
- What cookies are
A “cookie” is a small text file that may be stored in a dedicated space on the hard drive of the device used by the user (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when visiting a website through a browser, and may be subject to the user’s prior consent before being installed. In other words, these are cookies that are essential for the functioning of the website or necessary to perform activities requested by the user. Among technical cookies that do not require express consent, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see the provision
“Identification of simplified procedures for information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies” of May 8, 2014 – hereinafter the “Provision” – and, most recently, the
“Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools” of June 10, 2021 – hereinafter the “Guidelines”) also includes:
- first-party and third-party statistical or analytical cookies, where tools are adopted that reduce the identifying power of the cookies and the third party does not combine the collected information with other data already available to it, used to collect aggregated information on the number of users and how they visit the website;
- navigation or session cookies, whose deactivation would compromise the use of services available on the website;
- functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
Conversely, for “profiling cookies”, namely those aimed at identifying the user’s preferences in order to improve and personalize their browsing experience and/or show marketing communications in line with preferences expressed during navigation, as well as for third-party statistical or analytical cookies where tools are not adopted to reduce the identifying power of cookies and the third party combines the collected information with other data already available to it, the user’s prior consent is required.
3. Types of Cookies used by the Website and possibility of (de-)selection
Please note that the Website uses the following cookies, which can also be deselected individually (as specified below in section 4 of this cookie policy relating to “

It should be noted that the aforementioned third parties process personal data as data processors on behalf of the Controller, pursuant to specific data processing agreements under Article 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
